Halcyon Frames

A fine-art gallery of quiet, image-led series in landscape, still life and abstract. Scroll the masonry wall below, open any frame to read the full series, and take a print home — as an open edition, a limited edition, or a commission made for your wall.

The wall

Masonry Gallery

The whole gallery lives here — a masonry wall where every series is hung at its own scale, no grid to fight against, just photographs given room to breathe. Click any frame to open the full series and its image detail: paper, size, edition and price.

The craft

How the work is made

Three principles shape every print that leaves the studio, from the frame chosen for the wall to the edition number written on its verso. They're the reason collectors come back — and the reason the pictures still hold a room a decade later.

Curation over volume

Only a handful of frames from each series ever reach the wall. Every image is chosen for how it holds light and silence, not to fill a grid — I'd rather hang six photographs that earn their place than sixty that merely pass through. Curation is the first act of printing.

Printing & paper

Each print is made on archival cotton rag with pigment inks rated beyond a century, soft-proofed and hand-checked before it ships. Paper is chosen per image — matte rag for landscapes, a warmer baryta for still life — so the surface serves the picture, never the other way around.

Editions & provenance

Open editions stay available; limited editions close for good at their stated run. Every limited print is signed, numbered and shipped with a certificate of authenticity — one archive, one record, one point of contact from inquiry to the framed piece on your wall.

Process

From the wall to your wall

No mystery, no surprises — whether you're acquiring an existing edition or commissioning a new series. Here's exactly how it runs once you get in touch.

  1. 01

Choose a frame, or an idea

Open any series on the wall and note the image that holds you, or describe the commission you have in mind. Send it through the inquiry form with the room, wall size and light in mind. I reply within two business days with availability, sizes, editions and an honest, itemised quote.

  2. 02

    Proof & paper

We settle size, paper and framing together. For a print I'll soft-proof the file to your chosen surface and, on request, send a small proof strip so you can judge the paper in your own light. For a commission I'll build a short reference set so we're seeing the same pictures before any shutter opens. A deposit reserves the edition slot or the shoot dates.

  3. 03

    Printing & finishing

Each print is made to order on archival cotton rag, inspected by hand, then signed and — for limited editions — numbered and paired with its certificate of authenticity. Framing, if you'd like it, is done with conservation glass and acid-free mounts. Nothing ships until it's right.

  4. 04

    Delivery to your wall

Prints travel flat or rolled in archival packaging, fully insured, with tracking from door to door. Most orders arrive within two to three weeks. Hang notes and care guidance come in the box, and the edition record is updated the day your piece leaves the studio.

Kind words

From collectors & galleries

The limited edition arrived flawlessly crated, signed and numbered, with a certificate that made provenance effortless. It anchors the room — I walk past it a dozen times a day and it still holds me.
Ha-eun S.·Private collector, Seoul
We hung two series for a group show and the prints were immaculate — paper and framing chosen with real care. Easy to work with, and every edition record was exactly as documented.
Yunho P.·Curator, Euljiro gallery
Commissioned a triptych for our lobby and it reads better than anything off a stock wall. Proofed patiently, delivered early, and the paper glows in daylight.

Good to know

Frequently asked

An open edition stays available and can be reprinted to order, which keeps it more affordable. A limited edition is capped at a stated run — twenty-five, for most series — and closes for good once sold out. Every limited print is signed, numbered and shipped with a certificate of authenticity.
